Arguably the most famous resort in America, Aspen‘s image has grown from a small silver mining town to one of glitz and glamour mirroring the top class European ski resorts. It is a high end, exclusive resort that is popular with skiers and celeb spotters. Aspen strives consistently to surpass expectations. The town itself is renowned for its après ski and excellent gourmet cuisine. It is a popular venue for sporting events such as the Winter X-games and the Aspen Open. Despite its upmarket reputation, the resort is within reach of most budgets and skiing abilities.

The ski area consists of four main mountains each with their own characteristic that favour the various level of skier. Aspen (now known as Ajax) starts in the very heart of Aspen and connects with many of the top-end ski-in/out hotels. It favours the intermediate skier with its long flattering runs; Aspen Highlands is favoured by the locals for its black runs and challenging bowls; Buttermilk is the smallest with gentle slopes for beginners or those who like their skiing slow and easy; and the modern satellite resort of Snowmass, that provides ski-in ski-out accommodation and the most varied terrain.

There is a complimentary transfer from the local airport in Aspen to all the main hotels making it an easily accessible Colorado resort.
