The historic Monte Rosa is Zermatt’s oldest hotel. Located in a prime position, the hotel has some superb old memorabilia that portrays the history of tourism in Zermatt and the men who came to conquer its mountain.
Stroll around the original floors, walls and beams and sit awhile in the cosy public areas that evoke memories of a bygone era.

Alternatively, why not take up the hotel’s flexible dining option. The ‘dine around’ programme allows guests to choose from thirteen restaurants and dining rooms located throughout Zermatt.
Due to its position, the hotel does not have its own wellness area but guests are welcome to enjoy treatments and relaxation at the Mont Cervin Palace, a few steps down the road.
