Mont Tremblant

Mont Tremblant is Quebec’s premier ski resort. Situated on the shores of Lac Tremblant, this colourful and charming purpose-built resort is full of character and built in the style of old Québec with narrow, cobbled traffic-free streets and a distinctly French-Canadian flavour. This Intrawest resort is completely pedestrian friendly and most of the accommodation is ski-in/out making it a perfect choice for families.

Situated some 90 minutes drive from Montreal, Mont Tremblant is one the most accessible of the Canadian North American resorts from the United Kingdom. The resort is good value for money and has an easy and quick connection, taking not much longer than some of the European connections. It is ideal for people who are looking for the Canadian ski experience on a seven-day holiday.

The ski area caters for all levels of skiers, although temperatures can plummet in the East Coast resorts. The heated gondola takes you from the village to the top of Versant Sud on the south side of the mountain. From here you can ski down on mainly blue and green runs or drop over the back to Versant Nord where the more challenging black runs that includes the 43⁰ Dynamite run are to be found. Its excellent nursery area with long, easy, top to bottom greens and the adventure area makes it an ideal place to ski with young children. There are two terrain parks (three including the XL Park on the north side); one for beginners on the south side, and an intermediate level park is also on north side. If you still have the energy, the resort also offers night skiing.

The resort has an active après ski scene with many bars and restaurants, offering the high quality and wide-ranging cuisine you would expect to find in Quebec. There is a cabriolet gondola that takes clients from the new to the older village, where the Mont Tremblant Casino can be found. Quite possibly one of the only natural ski-in casinos in North America. Other activities include snowmobiling, horse riding, sleigh riding, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice climbing and dog-sledding through the Laurentian Forest.
